I wanted to thank everyone at St. James for a wonderful first week. It was wonderful to meet all the students as well as many parents. I feel so welcome and I'm looking forward to what is to come this school year.
32 students signed up for more information about the St. James Singers. Wow! Permission slips will be sent home to those who signed up on Tuesday and are due by September 20th. If your child did not get a chance to sign up or changed their mind, I will have extra forms in my classroom. There is more information about choir on the St. James Singers page.
Whether your child was in Kindergarten or in 8th Grade we talked about what music was and meant to them. It was so interesting to hear about their interests and feelings about what we hear in the world around us; whether it be on the radio, in school or in church.
Finally, I want to remind everyone that I will be at Meet the Teachers Night on Tuesday September 17. If you have any questions about what your child is learning in class, what we will be doing later in the year, St. James Singers or just want to stop by and meet me, I will be in the library with the other specialists. Looking forward to meeting you all.
